Try it before choosing your photo
Run the demo to see five facial measurements calculated from this photo in your browser. It shows how measurements work; it does not generate an AI rating.
Pose, expression and camera distance affect the visible proportions. This smiling portrait demonstrates the tool, not an ideal test pose.
See eye spacing, facial proportions and tilt. These measurements are separate from the AI face rating.
On your own photo, a completed AI request adds a subjective 1–8 rating, observations and photo tips. This public example does not send a photo to the rating service or assign the person a score.
Example photography: Joseph Gonzalez / Unsplash. Used to demonstrate measurements, not as a customer endorsement.

Demo of image geometry only. No attractiveness score or endorsement.

Example PSL score
5.5 / 8
Strong range on this tool’s scale
In this fictional example, the overall impression falls in the strong range. The facial features appear balanced, while a slight head tilt and uneven lighting make some details harder to compare. The score is a subjective photo rating, not an objective beauty measurement.
Illustrative values only. In your own report, these five measurements are calculated from landmarks in your photo and do not determine the AI score.
A PSL rating is a subjective impression of one photograph, not a population percentile or a measure of personal worth. Camera angle, lighting and expression can change the result. This example does not predict your score.
Understand the number
This PSL scale chart explains the 1–8 range used by our AI face rating. Scores move in half-point steps. The bands describe the rating, not how you rank against other people.
The low rating range on this tool’s 1–8 scale.
A moderate rating for the facial appearance in the photo.
A strong rating for the facial appearance in the photo.
The highest rating range on this tool’s 1–8 scale.
A score of 6 does not mean “top 10%.” Different photos, models and rating systems can disagree. A score describes an impression of a photo, not a person’s value.
What is this tool?
PSL is an informal scale for rating facial attractiveness. When AI analysis completes, your report includes a score, an explanation and photo tips, alongside five measurements calculated in your browser.
See an AI rating from 1 to 8 in half-point steps. It describes how your face appears in one photo, so different photos can receive different scores.
Read comments on your facial features and proportions, plus suggestions for lighting, framing and expression.
See eye spacing, face width-to-height, mouth-to-nose width, eye-width difference and eye-line tilt. Save the available results as a text report.
AI rating availability depends on the service. If it cannot complete, the tool shows an error and keeps any completed local measurements.
How it works
Choose a photo, review the consent notice and start your face analysis. No account is required.
Use a front-facing JPG, PNG or WebP under 10 MB. Include your forehead, chin and both sides of your face; leave filters off.
Confirm the person pictured is an adult and you have permission. Select “Get my PSL rating” to send a resized photo for AI analysis.
Review the score and explanation alongside the local measurements. Download the text report, or choose another photo to try again.
Why use this face test?
Use the report to understand your result, spot details in your photo and decide what to try in your next shot.
See how photo processing works ↗See which visible features the AI comments on and read the explanation alongside your score.
Check eye spacing, face proportions and tilt without measuring the photo by hand. These measurements do not determine your AI score.
Selecting a file is local. Only after consent and analysis does a resized copy go through our server to Replicate. The app has no public photo gallery.
Download the explanation and measurements together. If you compare reports, keep camera distance, pose and lighting similar.
Real photos · Practical guidance
A front-facing portrait makes features easier to see. Keep the setup consistent when you compare your own photos.
01 / FRAMINGKeep your forehead, chin and both eyes in the frame. This example shows the framing; for your test, use a relaxed expression rather than a broad smile.

02 / EXPRESSIONA smile changes the shape of the eyes, cheeks and mouth. For a more consistent comparison, take your photos with a relaxed, neutral expression.

Before you upload
The PSL scale is an informal way to rate facial attractiveness. Different communities use different charts; there is no single official system. This tool uses AI to rate one photo from 1 to 8 and explain the result.
This tool uses a 1–8 scale with half-point steps. Other face rating tools may use 1–10 or different ranges, so their scores are not directly comparable.
Within this tool’s rubric, 1–2 is the low range, 3–4 is moderate, 5–6 is strong and 7–8 is exceptionally strong. These labels describe the AI’s assessment of a photo. A 6 does not mean the top 10%, and the score does not measure your value as a person.
An AI face rating is an opinion about a photo, not an objective measurement of attractiveness. This tool has no verified accuracy rate. Lighting, angle, expression and model variation can change the score, so read the explanation as well as the number.
Yes. The photo test is free without an account. Optional accounts save 3 reports for free; Report Vault costs $4.99 once and stores up to 100. AI availability and request limits apply. If AI rating is unavailable, the tool shows an error and keeps any completed local measurements.
Selecting a photo keeps it in your browser. After consent, “Get my PSL rating” sends a resized JPEG through our server to Replicate’s Google Gemini model. The five landmark measurements run locally. See the privacy policy for provider processing and retention details.
Choose a clear, front-facing JPG, PNG or WebP under 10 MB and 40 megapixels. Use one visible adult face, even light and a relaxed, neutral expression. Include the forehead and chin. Avoid sunglasses, filters and very close selfies.
A photograph changes with camera distance, angle, light and expression. The AI can also vary between runs. Use similar photo conditions if you compare reports; a score change alone does not show a change in your appearance.
This tool does not give a whole-face symmetry score. It measures visible eye-width difference and eye-line tilt, along with three ratios. These values describe image geometry and do not determine the separate AI rating.
Only if the person pictured is an adult and you have permission to submit their photo for AI analysis. Do not use the tool to harass people, rate children or make consequential decisions about someone.
Yes. “Download report” saves a text file with the available AI result, observations, photo suggestions and local measurements. The photo itself is not included. If the AI service failed, the report clearly says that no AI rating was generated.
Try a brighter, sharper portrait with one face looking toward the camera. For a model-loading error, check your connection or use a current browser. For an AI service error, retry later. “Choose another photo” and “Start over” let you recover without reloading the page.
